NCpunkshows.com was started in October of 2003 because there wasn't really anyone else doing the job. Despite the fact that many touring punk bands skip this area, North Carolina can indeed boast of more than just Superchunk and Archers of Loaf, and hopefully this site will help bring together the disparate parts of our small but dedicated scene.

Though the site's administrators are based in Chapel Hill, the site includes information about the scenes in Raleigh, Greensboro, Wilmington, Charlotte, Asheville and other North Carolina cities.
