United Mutation is one of the most tragically overlooked bands of the first-generation harDCore scene. While newbies hear somewhat mediocre bands like Red C and Iron Cross on the Flex Your Head compilation LP and rabid collectors drop hundreds of dollars for original pressings of their records, United Mutation seems sadly forgotten. This web page was made for two reasons: one, to introduce people who wouldn't have otherwise heard UM to the band, and two, to provide as much insight as possible into the band for those who have heard the music and want to know the story. While the United Mutation fanatic will find a lot to chew on here, anyone into original harDCore should read these documents for the valuable insight they provide into the music and culture of that era.
